Surrounded by artistic and entrepreneurial influence my entire life, I was a shoo in for the job of "photographer". At the age of 14 my father gave me his old 35mm SLR camera with the hopes that it would keep me busy. I began to develop a love of photography through this old camera because of its many workings. I had no knowledge of "apertures" and "shutter speeds", but I knew the many buttons in different combinations could produce an image that was far above and beyond the normal point and shoot quality.

When I turned 17, I was given a used Pentax SRL 35mm camera. It was game on from there. I began to shoot anything and everything that I could. I got into classes for photography at the age of 18 and decided I would eventually commit to a career in photography. I was given a job shooting sports photography for our city newspaper before graduating high school.

I began my career six years ago as a commercial print and graphic designer. From there I became interested in web development and I have been running a successful design and development studio for nearly 6 years now. Photo DW is my photography outlet.
